Materials:
8" grapevine wreath
1m 7/8" red satin ribbon
1m gold pearl garland
1 foot of ivy garland
a 2-3" cat
a flower pick with at least 3 blossoms (I used sunflowers)
1. Using the ribbon, wrap the wreath diagonally, spacing the wraps
about 3". You should have a bit of ribbon left over for a simple bow.
Spot glue to hold. Cut extra ribbon off and save to make bow for later.
2. Pull off the leaf groups from the ivy garland. Tuck ends in various spots
over the wreath. Glue to hold. Glue a bow to bottom of wreath. Glue flowers
equally spaced around wreath. Glue bird on the inside of the wreath, so he
looks like he's sitting just behind the bow.
3. Starting just behind bow, wrap pearl garland in the opposite direction to
the ribbon. You may have to tuck the pearls behind some leaves. Go all the
way around until you reach the bow again and glue to hold. Cut off extra, if
any.
So far, you are done. You could make a hanger out of leftover ribbon pearls,
or even the wire stem from the flowers. Feel free to use your own colors for
the ribbon, pearls or birds. Other flowers look good too.
